Healthcare Improvement Partnership (Wolverhampton City & Walsall) Ltd is a Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFTCo) established as a public private partnership in 2004 under the government initiative to bring new investment into primary and community care services. This long term partnership brings together Wolverhampton City PCT, Walsall Teaching PCT, Wolverhampton City Council, Walsall Council and private sector partners to develop and deliver state of the art primary and community care facilities closer to where people live. To date, Wolverhampton & Walsall LIFTCo has completed three community health projects: two in Wolverhampton, The Gem Centre for Children and Young People and the Phoenix Health Centre, and one in Walsall, the Walsall Palliative Care Centre which was completed in March 2011.
